I successfully replaced the old European hinges in my kitchen, bedroom and bathrooms with these hinges that are adjustable to make your cabinets not only slow close but look and fit the cabinets better (if you’re patient enough to properly prepare your cabinets and adjust each set of drawers). This takes some time to accomplish, but IMO was worth the effort. You will need some tools to efficiently tackle this project including a screw gun. And I had a few bad hinges among the many (multiple orders) that I ordered so be prepared for that possibility.

Good hinges worked as advertised

I bought these to replace existing hinges that look the same but are not soft close. Be aware that not all hinges are mounted with the same size screws. In our case, the hinges being replaced were mounted with screws that are twice the thickness of the supplies screws with these hinges. We opted to reuse the old screws, which require us to use a drill bit to increase the diameter of the screw hole in the hinge. The second issue you could face is that the new hinge screw holes may not line up with the holes in your door. In our case the holes were about 1mm off. However, we did get the hinges to work without any additional modification. SUMMARY: The hinges mounted just fine, soft close worked as expected and the adjustability allowed us to align the top and bottom of the doors as well as set a nice clean vertical gap line between 2 doors.
